We spent Mother’s Day weekend in LA. On Friday, we had lunch with Gong Gong at a dumpling restaurant in Arcadia and then went to Chinatown to look for a fern, but had no luck. Afterwards we went to the Americana to walk around and get some Pinkberry. The kids had fun riding the trolley and playing by the fountain.
On Saturday, we went over to Grandma’s house for dinner.
Grandma got the girls some new clothes.
On Sunday, we went to a temple to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of Tai Po’s passing. There was some praying and then a vegetarian lunch was served. Uncle Willy, Chubber, and Gooey helped served some of the food. Would you like some rice?
At the lunch, I bumped into some cousins I haven’t seen in awhile. I use to babysit these “kids” and now they are all grown up and are successful professionals. I was feeling a little old.

On our drive back, we got stuck in some really bad traffic on highway 152. This set us back almost an hour! I was nervous Natalie might need to pee, but luckily she and Tyler were distracted watching DVDs. Turns out there was a big rig accident!
Did you go to Din Tai Fung in Arcadia? So yummy!
No, the place is called Dumpling House.
