Some recent fun stuff

Here are pics of some of the recent fun things going on in our life.

Last Friday night, we went to Santana Row and had dinner at Wahoo’s Fish Tacos.

I ordered Enchilada’s, David had a grilled fish plate, and the kids shared a fish bowl. It was yummy.

We went to Sprinkles again. This time we got Dark chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and blank and white. Can you tell Chocolate is Nat’s favorite?

A conversation with Natalie

Today, on the way home from school, I had a funny conversation with Natalie:

“What were you playing?”

“I was playing family with Chloe.”

“Family? Were you the mommy?”

“No, Chloe was the mommy. I was the babysitter.”

“Oh, who was the baby?”

“We had a pretend baby.”

Meeting Hello Kitty

The kids got to meet Hello Kitty this weekend at the mall. Natalie and I were waiting near the exit at Macys for Tyler and Dad and I got a call on my cell from David, “Hello Kitty is here!” So Nat and I rushed over to the Sanrio store and there was a small crowd forming around her. Tyler didn’t really care for her, but Natalie was pretty excited. What I would pay for a costume like that…

Sprinkles

I went to Sprinkles today for the first time. Heard they opened one up in Palo Alto, so I went to check it out during my lunch hour. Wow, what a delight on the eyes!! I ordered 4, had to control myself cause those suckers are $3.25 each. I got red velvet, chai latte, milk chocolate, and lemon coconut. I brought them home and shared 2 with Natalie. She was so excited when I opened the box. She had the milk chocolate and I had the chai latte. Both were super yummy, but the milk chocolate was better of the 2. After dinner we tried the other 2. Red velvet was pretty good and the lemon coconut was a bit sweet, but good as well.

Banana Split

Tyler and Natalie made their first banana split last night. They were both very excited and ate the whole bowl in minutes. Here’s part of the experience on video.

Booth fun

These are some of the pictures taken in the photo booth at Uncle Way’s reception.

It’s a party!

tyler_sleep.jpg Uncle Way and Marissa finally had a reception to celebrate the vows they made to each other earlier this year. The party was at “The Spinnaker” in Sausolito. The place was awesome with a spectacular view of the bay. It was a long day as you can see how tired Tyler was. We were running late in the morning and arrived a little late, took almost an hour and half to get there from San Jose! We made good use of the photo booth they rented (esp Natalie and her cousin Malaya) and the kids even learned to go to the host bar and order their own drinks (with maraschino cherries!). It was fleet week too so we saw some of the jets flying around on our way home. It was pretty cool seeing the jets so close! On our way back, we stopped at the Golden Gate Bakery in SF Chinatown to load up on ‘dan tat’s’ and other pastries. There was so much traffic in the city and getting to the freeway, we almost didn’t make it home on time to get my parents to the airport! We ended up just barely making it. Phew!

Catching up, finally

2 weekends ago, we had a play date with Jackie (our listing agent) and her son Mason. He’s the same age as Natalie. We met at Vasona Lake Park in Los Gatos. This park is great! It has a train ride and a carousel and a playground. After the park, we decided to have lunch at Chuck E Cheese, so we picked up Uncle Chubbah and Willy and headed over for some afternoon fun. I like it there because Tyler and Natalie can run around and play on their own and I don’t really have to worry about them getting lost or stolen.

4:22am

This morning, at 4:22am, Tyler calls out from his room, “Daddy!” No response, so he comes stumbling into our room and stands by David’s side. “Drink Wata” David sends him over to my side (that’s where the night stand is) and he takes 6 or 7 gulps, then attempts to climb into our bed. David catches him and says “Come on Tyler, let’s go to your bed”. So Tyler follows him out and says to me “Good night Mop.”

What’s going on

David reformatted his computer so I haven’t had a chance to download pictures and update our blog. In lieu of recent activities, here are some recent interesting things to share.

Tyler calls me “Mop” not “Mom”.

Since we moved, we’ve been training him to sleep in his own bed in a room with Natalie. At night, he tosses around in our bed and when he’s tired he’ll go to his own bed by himself and fall asleep there.

The other weekend, they both woke up and started to play together in the room. I heard Natalie say to Tyler, “Remember, Daddy said not to cry… do you want me to read you a book?” Tyler, “OK!”

When Tyler comes home from daycare with David he’ll say hi to me and come hug my leg and say “I miss you!” or “I wuv you!”

I keep a cup of water on the night stand next to my bed at night and Tyler often goes to drink it. One night, he got up in the middle of the night and drank it all and wanted more, so he stood next to me and said “Water pease”.

The other day at daycare, he was pulling on his ear and Rosamaria asked who did that to him and he said “Mamma do it”. ( I totally don’t!) The kid is trying to frame me! I know this because Rosamaria asked David about it when he picked him up.
