First Day of School

Today was the first day of the new school year. Both Nat and Tyler are now going to the same school. This morning while eating breakfast, they made an agreement to meet “by the fence” so they can say hello to each other during school. Tyler was very excited to start Kindergarten today. He woke up quickly and asked if he could change his clothes by himself.

Po Po and Gong Gong’s Summer 11 Visit

It’s the last week of summer vacation, summer camp was over and the kids had no where to be. So Po Po and Gong Gong came to stay with us for the week. The kids had fun riding bikes and walking to Luckys with them everyday.

Great America

Today’s summer fun day was spent at Great America. The kids LOVED it here! Tyler asked if we can come back often. I’ll consider getting a season pass next year. He was too short to ride alot of the fun rides today. This place is so strict with their height requirements. It wasn’t very crowded at all and the kids got to ride their favorite rides over and over. And they got to meet Snoopy and friends.

Roaring Camp Railroads

We decided to do some last minute fun stuff before school starts so today we went to Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton. It’s an 1800’s recreated town with real steam trains. There are 2 routes you can choose: Redwood Forest or Santa Cruz Beach. We chose Santa Cruz. The kids had a great time riding the train and an even greater time playing at the beach and the Boardwalk. The day started out cold but once the sun came out, it was very nice!

Giants Game

Last week, we took the kids (little & big!) to the Giants game. It was a really nice day in the city and the game was sold out! The kids like to go, not to watch baseball, but to people watch and eat junk food!

Today was a Fun Day!

We had some friends from DI over today. Most of the kids grew up with Natalie and Tyler since they were babies, though in the past year we haven’t gotten a chance to see too much of each other. All the kids got along really great and had fun swimming and playing in Tyler’s room. At night after everyone left, Nat said to me, “Today was a fun day!”

Who’s the Boss

This morning while changing clothes:

Nat: ‘Tyler, hurry up and change!”

Tyler: “You’re not the boss of me Je Je. Dad’s not the boss either. Mom either. No one is the boss here. Only Santa is the boss. He’s the boss of everyone.”
