Basketball Winter 2019

Tyler’s been playing in a basketball league (Cupertino Hoops) for the past few months. His team was formed with various school friends who he’s been playing with over the years. One of the Dad’s volunteered to be their coach and David was the assistant coach. Parents agreed that the boys have shown a lot of improvement over the months.

Today was the last game of the season. It was an exciting game and they won 37-34!

After the game, the team had a nice celebration at Yogurtland.

Happy 13th Birthday Tyler

We have two teenagers now! It sure feels that way too. Both kids have little interest in doing stuff with David and I. They always want to stay home alone.

For his birthday, Tyler wanted to have a few buddies from school over and go bowling. So we made a reservation at a bowling alley close by and the kids got to bowl for 2 hours. Tyler had a really good time and worked on his “spin”. Many of these ended up in the gutter causing him to have the lowest score in his group, but he didn’t care. He wanted to practice his “spin”.

A Day in Monterey

We spent the day in Monterey today courtesy of Uncle J. He got an annual pass to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and we were able to use his guest passes. The kids were reluctant to go at first, but once we got in the car and got some food and drinks, they were in a better mood. It was rainy in San Jose today, but as we drove toward the coast, it was just cloudy with even parts of sun, which was nice.

It’s been awhile since we’ve been to the aquarium. It was pretty busy today, but we managed to cover most of the exhibits in under 2 hours.

After the aquarium, we walked around Cannery Row and the kids got some candy.

Then we stopped at Phil’s Fish Market & Eatery on our way home. One of my favorite seafood restaurants. We ordered a lot of food!
