Today is the first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year and the kids will be starting the first half of the year distance learning from home. It’s Tyler’s first year in high school as a 9th grader. I’m sad he isn’t getting a real high school experience. Natalie is starting 11th grade and has been excited to start school again, but both wish they could go to school live. It’s such a crucial learning time for them right now being in high school. I’m worried they aren’t going to learn as much as they should. It’s hard to focus and learn through the video meetings.
What did we do all summer? A whole lot of nothing! Tyler has been swimming laps in the pool daily and he’s grown so much. He’s taller than Natalie now and about 1/4″ or less shorter than me. He’s starting to look like a young man, but still acts like a baby!
