My brother, the trapeze artist. Or is it just a creative way for him to do arm exercises?

College Research Project
Natalie’s class had a project researching college’s. The project was called “I’m off to college Mom and Dad!” The college she picked was California College of Arts. Each student had to research their school of choice and present their learnings along with a budget sheet. According to her calculations, it’s going to cost about $127,000. I die.
Fun Bike Time
A Lesson on Small People
Today in the car, Tyler saw two boys ride their bikes passed us. He said, “oh they look like short stature people.” I didn’t understand what he said (because of his accent and because I didn’t expect him to say that.)
Ty: I know a short stature person. He use to be a Bear. (Bear’s are what his teacher calls her students)
Me: A short stature person?
Ty: Yeah, a short stature person. His name is Yan. He’s so smart, he got to go to college for free. He’s the first short stature person to run the Boston marathon. (I’m not sure if this is true)
This is the first time I’ve heard of little people being called ‘short statured’, but it is very politically correct.
Play Dates
The kids had some friends over for a play date over the weekend. Organizing play dates can be a bit of a chore. I try not to do it too often cause it really takes away relaxation time from the weekend. Although the kids entertain themselves, there is still “set up” and “clean up” involved. Luckily it was a warm day, so the kids were able to spend most of the time in the pool. Then we had dinner at Sweet Tomatoes.
Piano Practice Drama
Yesterday while practicing piano, Tyler started to cry and said his finger hurt. I ignored him thinking he was trying to get out of practicing. A few mins later he starts to scream “It’s turning purple!” I go over to look at his finger and sure enough it’s turning purple. It was bleeding underneath his nail. It turns out he smashed it under the piano bench cover. Hope this teaches him a lesson to not fool around when practicing piano!
Happy Mother’s Day
The kids and David woke up very early this morning to cook Mother’s Day breakfast. Tyler was up but probably just to watch TV. I know Nat helped in the kitchen a lot. I heard her direct Tyler to do a few things like set up the table. At one point, I heard her say “Tyler, if it weren’t for Mom, we wouldn’t be here.”
Yee Po and Uncle Wen came over for breakfast and later Hayden and Mason came too.
Nat made this for me
And Tyler made this for me at school
