Dear Santa…

Over the weekend, we went to the mall to do some Christmas shopping. At Macy’s, there’s paper and envelopes you can write letters to Santa with. I found Tyler here focused on his letter. When he was done, he dropped his letter into the mailbox and I asked him what he wrote. He said he wished for AirPods. I asked him if he included his full name and address. He thought for a minute and then sat down and wrote his letter all over again!

Advent Calendars

12/01/19

I got the kids advent calendars as a treat this year. They were excited to get them and open Day 1. This is probably the first year ever that I got them advent calendars. I’m more relaxed about letting them have candy now that they are older and know to limit their candy intake. Although, Tyler still has Halloween candy hidden somewhere.

Disneyland 2019

It’s been around 5 years since we last went to Disneyland. The kids and I were excited to go again (not so much David). Ticket prices are ridiculously expensive now! I was thinking it won’t be long before the kids won’t want to go to places like this with us anymore, so why not. Hopefully this isn’t the last time we go together as a family. The parked opened at 8am and closed at midnight and we were there the entire time! It was a long day, but super fun!

Auntie Kari and cousin Melanie joined us for most of the day. They are Disney pass holders so it was easy for them to join us. It was fun (and helpful) having them with us. Auntie Kari is a Disney regular so she helped us with time efficiency (and a lot of photographs!).

Disneyland during the holidays is really festive. Some of the rides are redecorated for the holidays which made it extra nice.

Star Wars Land

Splash Mountain. Tyler got soaked!

I was lucky to get a reservation at The Blue Bayou for lunch. I’ve always wanted to eat here! We had a great table right near the Pirate of the Caribbean ride.

Fun drinks at Oga’s Cantina at Star Wars land.

It’s a Small World was really pretty at night!

Happy Birthday 公公

11/24/19

We arrived in LA Thanksgiving week just in time to celebrate 公公’s birthday. We had a delicious multi-course celebration dinner at Capital Seafood in Monterey Park which included roasted suckling pig and lobster!
