Tangled

The kids went to the movies for the first time today. We watched Tangled. At first, Natalie was nervous and kept asking questions. “Is it scary?” or “Is it going to be dark?”  They were excited to get popcorn too! Once the movie started, they settled in their seats. I had to shush Tyler a few times. Nat got so into the movie she even teared up when Eugene was dying.

Old People

Yesterday in the car, we were talking about old people.

Tyler: Old people? You mean those people who have hooks?

Me: What do you mean hooks?

Tyler: They have those thingys that look like candy canes

Me: Oh yes, a walking cane. It helps them walk. When people get old, their legs don’t work as well.

About Santa

Today in the car ride home from school:

Natalie: Santa is alive! Otherwise, where would all the presents come from??

(She was recently told by a friend’s brother that Santa wasn’t alive.)

History Park

The kids went with Sinclaire to History Park a couple weeks ago. They got to meet with Santa and do some arts and crafts and check out some cool steam trains. Natalie said Santa and Mrs. Santa came on a fire engine and not a sleigh with reindeer.

First Christmas tree

Over the weekend, we took the kids to Home Depot to buy their very first real Christmas tree. They’ve been really excited to decorate the house with Christmas decorations.

Nat picked out the tree

Tyler found a tree that was “his size”

They tried on hats inside Home Depot
