Summer at Grandparents Camp

This year is the 3rd year in a row Natalie and Tyler have spend a few weeks of their summer vacation with Po Po and Gong Gong. Tyler was very excited to be spending several weeks there (lot’s of freedom to play games on the iPad), but for some reason after David and I left for own mini vacation, Tyler got sad a night and cried. I called him on Facetime from Italy one night and he was bawling and said he really missed me. Luckily he soon got over it – maybe with everyone’s help by keeping him distracted with fun activities.

Natalie helped Po Po make a bunch of bows for an upcoming party. She’s a master at making bows now.

Disneyland 2015

Tyler won 4 Disneyland park hopper tickets from last year’s Catwalk at school and we finally got to go last week. Luckily for us, Disneyland is currently celebrating their diamond anniversary so we got to see some upgraded shows and decorations. Auntie Diana, Grace, and Meliya met us there too! Surprisingly the lines weren’t too bad. Our longest wait for a ride was probably 30 minutes.

The kids had fun this time around. I think now that they are older, they appreciate and understand the rides and attractions more. It’s also easier on us as parents – no strollers, no diapers, no carrying little ones because they are too tired!

The four of us shared this turkey leg! It’s huge! ($11!)

The Howell’s Visit

Auntie Thao and Uncle Dan visited us from Denver a few week’s back. The visit was very short so we tried to do as much as possible! On Saturday afternoon, after picking up Uncle Dan from the airport we went straight to Fisherman’s wharf and took a boat/bay tour. It was a beautiful day to be out in the water. The guys managing the boat even let Tyler steer the boat for awhile!

For dinner, we went to PPQ Dungenous Island for some crab. This is one of our favorite spots in the city for crab.

On Sunday, we went to the Giants game. It was Hello Kitty Day! This is the second year we attended Hello Kitty Day. Coincidentally, the Giants were playing the Colorado Rockies, so it worked out for Thao and Dan to join us for the game!

At the game, we ran into this Hello Kitty fangirl. We saw her last year too!
