Polite words

Yesterday, we dontated Tyler’s crib among many other things. We kept the mattress for him to sleep on and will be adding a new bedframe later. Last night, Natalie tried claiming the bed as hers, but we told her it was Tyler’s. She was not happy about it. This morning:

“Mom, if I ask Tyler nicely, will he share his bed with me?”
“Yes”
“Like ‘Please’ and ‘Thank you’?”
“Yes”
“Then he will say ‘You’re Welcome’…”

It’s stuck in my nose!

Natalie found a small purple bead today and was playing with it while I was cooking dinner. All of a sudden she says to me “Mom, the purple bead is stuck in my nose.”

“What?!”
“The purple bead is stuck in my nose!”

I go over to her and ask her to show me. I don’t see anything. She notices I’m a little panicky and starts to whine like she’s going to cry.

“Blow it out.” She tries to blow her nose, but nothing. Then she tries again, with extra force and I hear the little bead bounce on the floor.

Relief.

Black licorice, yuck.

Natalie’s teacher gave her a plastic egg with some jelly beans in it. One of them were black. I asked her if she liked it after she ate it. This is what she said:

“The black one is nasty.”

Where does she learn these things??

HB Willy!

Happy Birthday Wileen!

It was a Chinese Food dinner party tonite at New Peking restaurant in San Jose. I’d give it 3 stars (out of 5).  We had some seafood and tofu soup, Peking fried rice, crab, shrimp with walnuts, string beans, fried fish, steamed chicken, beef stir fry and sweet red beans for dessert. Topped off with Black forrest Chocolate cake at home. Tyler helped blow out the candles, he probably spit on the cake. We’ll know if everyone comes down with a cough! =)
