Today was “Bring your kids to work day” at David’s office. Nat and Tyler got to leave school early today and spend most of the day at Coupons. They got to do a lot of fun activities, play games, have lunch from food trucks, and they came home with a lot of free stuff!
Month: April 2014
Self-Sufficient Traveling
The kids have gotten to a very travel friendly age. They both are wheeling their own luggage around and Nat has become a pro at packing her own suitcase with all the trips we make to LA. On our trip to Hawaii, Tyler sat in the aisle seat during our flight back and he ordered his own drinks and snacks from the flight attendant himself, and went to the restroom himself, while I was able to nap peacefully in my seat. He pretty much entertained himself for the entire flight.
Happy Easter
We went over to Aunty Kathy’s place today for lunch and an Easter egg hunt. This is turning into an annual tradition over at her place. She made some delicious ribs with coconut rice and some sides.
After lunch the adults hid a bunch of eggs in the backyard and then the kids got to go find the eggs. Nat and Ty each found special hard to find eggs which earned them each $2.
Dinner at Uncle Tommy’s
Hawaii
Spring break has come and gone. Our 5 days in Hawaii went by too quick. During our stay, the kids got to snorkel, visit Pearl Harbor, eat fresh shrimp on the north shore and meet new family members that live in Honolulu.
I’m constantly reminding Natalie and Tyler how lucky they are to be able to travel to places like this at such a young age. I hope they appreciate it.
Spring Break Is On
Spring Break this year is in Hawaii! The kids have been so excited about this trip. They were super anxious to get on the plane and could not sleep! We got really close to missing our flight thanks to LA traffic, but luckily we made it on the plane just in time.
When we arrived at our hotel we were greeted by a local uncle and auntie with leis and food and gifts! It was such a great surprise.
Saturday in SF
Yesterday we had no appointments or kid stuff, so we decided to go to the city for the day.
David and I packed up our 5 kids and headed out
Our first stop was lunch at an Italian restaurant in Russian Hill called Caffe Puccini, which we found via Yelp! The food was really good and definitely lived up to the reviews we saw.
After lunch we headed over to the Moscone center for the Health and Fitness Expo. I found out about this online and since it was FREE, we decided to check it out. The kids got to play games and we all got alot of free stuff.
Then we went to Chinatown to walk around and of course stop at Golden Gate Bakery.
