Cousins Grace and Meliya came up to visit for the weekend. They got to go tour Cisco for free on Friday morning, then in the afternoon we went to the city to hang out at Fisherman’s Wharf. We took a boat ride around the bay and it was super foggy but the kids had fun. The captain even let them take turns steering the boat!

Like a Trained Puppy
I do this thing with Tyler where I make a kissing sound and he will automatically give me a kiss. ALWAYS! So I decided to do a test and have someone else try. I asked Wileen to randomly do it one day when she’s near him and see if he will kiss her. She tried last night while they were playing and as soon as he heard it, he turned and was about to kiss her, but realized it was her and not me, so he stopped. He was a little embarrassed. 🙂
Spring 2014 Piano Recital
Nat turns 10
Natalie turned double digits yesterday! Her BFF Morgan came from Arizona to spend a few days with us and celebrate their birthdays together. Morgan’s birthday is next week. Last night we had dinner at Red Robin Burgers and the girls got ice cream sundaes from the restaurant for their birthday.
Today we hosted a Hawaiian themed party and they had a few friends over to celebrate with them. Nat and Morgan have been so excited for this day for months! Both of them had a really great time and its been non-stop fun since she arrived yesterday. Nat will be very sad when she leaves tomorrow.

Where do babies come from?
This morning, I took Tyler shopping to look for a shirt for his piano recital. During the car ride home he asks me:
“Mom, you know when people get married and then you kiss the bride and then a baby comes, how does the baby come? ”
Me: what do you mean? (I’m nervous at this point. Not ready to explain this)
Tyler: how does the baby come out?
Me: it just does. (Pause) It comes out like poo. It just comes out.
Tyler: what?! That’s so wierd!
Open House 2014
It’s always fun to go to Open House each year at school and look at all the work the kids have been doing. Tyler was especially excited to share the project he was working on – researching snow shoe hares. We also got to see the chrysalis stage of the butterfly metamorphosis.
