The kids are finally back to school live after a year and a half. Nat was super excited to go back to school. It’s her senior year and she’s ASB President! She left for school first at 7am because she has a 0 period that starts at 7:15. Tyler starts at 8. It’s too bad they don’t have the same schedule so they can carpool. Tyler seemed nervous and excited to start school. He’s in 10th grade this year but feels like going to high school for the first time since he spent 9th grade taking classes online because of Covid.

In the evening the four of us hung out in the pool and the kids shared stories from their day. It was a good first day of school.

This girl got the car of her dreams! Well not actually. Her dream car is a Tesla, but this one comes in second. Since we’ve been looking at cars, she has fallen in love with MINI Coopers and in particular, this ice blue color. After looking at two different MINIs earlier this summer, we decided not to tell Nat we were looking anymore cause each time she would get her hopes up and then disappointed. This is the 6th MINI we pursued and finally landed. We were incredibly lucky to find one in ice blue that was in good condition and in the price range we wanted. We surprised her after we got home and she went crazy! It really is a super cute car.

She immediately took it for a test drive!

7/14 – 7/17

Nat has two cousins born the same year as her. Meliya – 3 months younger than Nat, and Lindsey – 3 months younger than Meliya. All born year of the monkey. Lindsey was visiting LA from New Jersey and she and Meliya flew up to spend a few days with us. It was the first time the three girls have hung out in a very long time.

On one of the days, Nat took the girls to San Francisco for the day. They had a long and fun day in the city.
