This morning, I woke Natalie up by reminding her to check under her pillow to see if the tooth fairy came. She immediately opened her eyes and sprung up to check. Sure enough, the tooth fairy came and replaced her tooth with a gold coin! She was more groggy than surprised. Both kids asked if I saw her (the tooth fairy), but I told them that I was sleeping and didn’t hear anything.

Today was Natalie’s share day so she decided to take her gold coin to school to share and talk about her tooth falling out.

We went out to dinner today to celebrate David’s birthday. While eating some bread, Natalie pulls a tiny tooth out of her mouth and says with excitement “My tooth fell out!” It’s been wiggling for sometime now. She was so excited to lose a tooth. She said, “Now, I will grow and adult tooth!”

In the car ride home, we talked about what she hoped for from the tooth fairy. She said she wanted a gold coin. Tyler said when the tooth fairy visits him, he hopes she has a spinning top with lights.

When we got home, Nat put her tooth in her tooth fairy pillow and stuck it under the regular pillow. Hopefully she will be surprised tomorrow morning!

A couple week’s back Sudha invited us over for a small birthday celebration for Yashas and Mandy.

The kids tried rock climbing but didn’t get far

Tyler and Natalie were playing rough around the living room today and somehow he fell and hit his head. A huge bump appeared on his head with a red/blue line, but no blood came out. As a precaution, we went to the emergency room. Tyler did a great job while they checked him out. After the doctor examined him, she cleaned his head and then applied neosporin. She also gave Tyler a popsicle for doing a good job.

The other night, I took the kids through the drive through at Krispy Kreme for some donuts. As we pulled up to the ordering speaker and rolled down the windows, they each started shouted out what they wanted “I want the one with Sprinkles!” “I want chocolate!” The guy’s voice came over the speaker system and says in an annoyed voice, “I’ll be with you in a minute.” I hope he didn’t spit on our donuts!

In the afternoon we headed over to Grandma’s house for more Christmas festivities. The house was packed as usual and the living room almost filled with Christmas presents.

At the end of the night after the presents were all handed out, Natalie asked me if anyone else was coming. I said no – the party’s almost over. And she said “Isn’t Santa coming?” Sad face. Every year, Santa usually makes an appearance at Grandma’s house. This year, he didn’t cause they couldn’t find the Santa suit! Natalie was very disappointed!

Christmas morning, the kids took a break from all their new toys and went outside to play. It was a beautiful and sunny day! Natalie decided to sweep the front yard. Afterwards, the kids took pictures with Po Po since they all matched in red.

We spent xmas eve at Birdie’s house in Monterey Park. They just remodeled their house so we decided to have the party there since it was really roomy too.

There was no Christmas tree, so they used Birdie’s giant Hello Kitty instead.
