Easter fun

We started our Easter festivities a week early this year. It all started with brunch at Auntie Kathy’s house followed by an Easter egg hunt in the backyard.

Then the kids got to go to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at a local park. There were lots of eggs and fun goodies like cotton candy and other junk food.

That evening, Big Uncle bought some eggs and a decorating kit for the kids

Day trip to Merced

Po Po and Gong Gong spent this week here since Natalie was on Spring Break. Tyler got to miss school for a week so he could stay home and have fun too. Yesterday, we took a trip to Merced to visit Goo Goo and family.

On the way there, we stopped at Casa de Fruita to get some treats. While we were there, we saw 2 peacocks roaming around the road and parking lot.

Kids eating lunch

Goo Goo cooked up a feast as usual.

After lunch, we went for a walk outside to check out their almond orchard. Natalie and I picked some baby almonds for my friend

Why I’ve been missing

I’ve been preoccupied by our kitchen remodel. It’s almost done! We’re just waiting for the hood to come in and then the contractor will do some finishing touches. The kids love the new kitchen, especially the fridge because now they have self access to the water/ice dispenser.

Here’s what the old kitchen looks like
