Dodge Ridge

It rained/snowed last week and David got an email saying the snow resorts got 11 inches of new snow so we decided to skip school last Friday to go skiing since we haven’t had a chance to go this season yet. I want Natalie and Tyler to try to go at least once a year to keep practice at skiing.

We tried a new ski resort called Dodge Ridge just outside of Yosemite. It’s under 3 hours away so we were able to make it a 1 day trip. The drive wasn’t bad at all. The mountain was pretty empty since it was a school day so David and the kids got to go up and down several times with no delay.

Golf Tournament 3

Tyler participated in a 2 day golf tournament last week at Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey. It’s a dream course for him to play on and he was excited! It rained a bit the first morning but the sun eventually came out but it was windy at times. He ended up placing last place in his age group. He said he was disappointed but not mad and he knows he just needs to practice more.

While Tyler golfed, David, Nat, and I went for a hike at Point Lobos, walked around and had lunch in Carmel, and walked around Monterey Bay.

We also stopped at our favorite seafood restaurant, Phils Fish Market

Birthday Boy

This boy turns 16 today. He had a golf match after school today. He scored the highest which was a nice birthday gift to self. We brought cupcakes to share and celebrate with his team at the golf course and then ordered pho for dinner. Pho is still one of his favorite meals.
