Tea Party

Natalie and I went to our first real tea party over the weekend. We had a small tea party for Wileen’s birthday at Lisa’s Tea Treasures. Nat was super excited about dressing up and going to a real tea party with grown ups. We had fun tasting different teas and trying different pastries and snacks. After we left, she told me it was fun and wanted to do it again!

Indoor Rock Climbing

The kids went indoor rock climbing at Planet Granite over the weekend with Aunt Birdie and David. They both did a lot of climbing and Tyler was really into the more challenging ones. He said he can do level 6-7, which is the same level as me!

Breakfast with the Peeps

This morning while packing the kids their lunch, I found Tyler having breakfast with the his peeps by his side.

Chinese New Year Performance

The kids had Chinese New Year performances last weekend at Chinese school. This is their first year participating in the annual celebration. You can’t really hear the song well, but hopefully you can see where Nat and Ty are.

Happy 9th Birthday, Tyler

I’m not sure where year 4,5,6,7, and 8 went. I still remember Tyler as my little baby speaking baby language that only I understood. Like the way he would say triangle, “Tra ga ga”.

This year, I made an agreement with the kids to not do birthday parties. Instead, we would get them a birthday present of their choice. It wasn’t hard to convince them either. Both seemed pretty agreeable. Tyler asked for a new iPod. We’re going to wait for the new release on that one. Tonight, we had a celebration at home with cupcakes. We couldn’t go out to dinner because it was piano lesson night. As a surprise present, David got Tyler a giant PEEP! Tyler’s best buddy is a little peep he got at Universal Studios a few years back. He went nuts when he opened the present and saw the giant peep. I have a video of it below. It’s priceless!
