They came back with lots of candy!
Month: October 2012
Weekend with BIG
David and I went on a weekend trip to Vegas and the kids stayed with Big Uncle. They had a good time making food and even got him to take them to Toys R Us!
Fun dinner
Breakfast, hello kitty eggs and octopus sausages
They seemed to have had a really good time with Big Uncle this weekend. I didn’t get that many texts from Nat and when they picked us up from the airport they didn’t complain about missing us. Instead they couldn’t stop talking about all the fun stuff they did.
Party Boo Boo
Tyler got a little leg injury at his friends birthday party at Sky High yesterday. While on the trampoline, another kid jumped on his leg spraining his knee. A trip to the doctor this morning showed everything was ok, he just has to take it easy for a few days. David carried Tyler into the doctors office and after hearing he was ok, he came running out.
Pumpkin Patch
Random Interruption
While driving home after dinner this evening, David and I were having a conversation in the car when suddenly out of no where, Tyler interrupts us:
Tyler: Daddy!
David: What?
Tyler: Once when I was 3 years old, I ate grass.
Totally random.
Baker Catwalk 2012
The kids’ school had their annual walk-a-thon school fundraiser today. The goal was to complete 49 laps and both Nat and Tyler did it! (5 hrs, 4 sno cones, 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and lots of snacks later!)
A parent spent 5 years making this R2D2. He brought it to the Catwalk to help raise money by charging for pictures with it.
Natalie also participated in a flash mob.
Another Trip to Merced
We went to Merced again today to visit Tai Po. When we got there, she was in the kitchen cutting meat to make lunch. We had fried rice, chicken and veggie stir fry, and pizza. After lunch we took a walk outside and picked chili and fruit. Natalie had fun picking while Tyler and Jay threw rocks around.
Proud of Nat
Natalie and her good friend Mira worked on a poster for the school districts Walk and Roll poster contest. The winning poster will be created into a real poster to inspire kids to walk or ride bikes to school. We found out today their poster was selected in the TOP 3! It’s currently hanging at the office window.
