Me: I like your car pajamas
Tyler: Thank you. I like your dress mommy. (I wasn’t wearing one)
Me: Thanks. You’re cute!
Tyler: No, you’re cute! (smiles)

Mother’s Day weekend
We spent Mother’s Day weekend in LA. On Friday, we had lunch with Gong Gong at a dumpling restaurant in Arcadia and then went to Chinatown to look for a fern, but had no luck. Afterwards we went to the Americana to walk around and get some Pinkberry. The kids had fun riding the trolley and playing by the fountain.

On Saturday, we went over to Grandma’s house for dinner.
Grandma got the girls some new clothes.

On Sunday, we went to a temple to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of Tai Po’s passing. There was some praying and then a vegetarian lunch was served. Uncle Willy, Chubber, and Gooey helped served some of the food. Would you like some rice?

At the lunch, I bumped into some cousins I haven’t seen in awhile. I use to babysit these “kids” and now they are all grown up and are successful professionals. I was feeling a little old.

On our drive back, we got stuck in some really bad traffic on highway 152. This set us back almost an hour! I was nervous Natalie might need to pee, but luckily she and Tyler were distracted watching DVDs. Turns out there was a big rig accident!

Cough Cough
Tyler had a bad cold and cough these past few days. We went to see Dr. Yen yesterday and they gave him this mask to wear as soon as we checked in. At first he wouldn’t wear it, but then he starting coughing and a nurse walked by and said to him “You need to wear your mask, it’s whats best for you and other people”. So I helped him put the mask back on and he kept it on the whole time we were at the doctor’s office and the pharmacy.

Little girl, Big girl
Natalie dressed and accessorized herself today before we went out for lunch. Our trendy little girl even carried her purse on her shoulder to the various stores we went to. Inside her purse was a small bottle of Vitamin water too.

So yummy! So yummy!
When Tyler eats something he likes, he says “There’s a party in my tummy! So yummy! So yummy!”
Someone needs exercise
A conversation I just had with Natalie while cooking dinner:
Natalie: Are you having a baby?
Me: No I’m NOT!
Natalie: I’m just checking, it looks like you are.
She proceeds to wrap her arms around my tummy.
Dinner at Chevys
On Saturday, we went over to Uncle J’s to check out the new deck he and Chris are building in their backyard. After they were done, we all went to dinner at Chevy’s.
best buddies!

Bubbles!
We had a mini heat wave earlier this week, so the summer clothes came out briefly. Tyler and I hung out outside and he got to blow bubbles while Nat was at gymnastics class.

Sarah’s wedding
Sarah and Francisco’s wedding was on Saturday. The ceremony was at the church at Santa Clara University and the reception was at the Cypress Hotel in Cupertino. Natalie and Tyler were very excited about getting dressed up to go to a wedding. I bought Tyler a new tie and he was very happy to wear it.

We took pictures outside of the church before the ceremony started

Tyler took advantage of the open bar too!

For dinner, it was choice of spinach salad or lobster bisque and then a choice of filet mignon or salmon. The lobster bisque and filet mignon were delicious!

After dinner, chocolate dipped strawberries were served. Natalie loved these!

The cake

Natalie had fun dancing with everyone.

Munching on seaweed
