Who can I call?

Uncle Chubber brought their Mickey Mouse phone over so we could test our phone line. Once we got it working, Natalie wanted to call anyone and everyone. Here’s a clip of her talking to Uncle J.

Another whirlwind weekend

Too tired to blog. But guilted by Uncle Willy and Uncle Chubber, so here goes.

We had another whirlwind weekend! On Friday, I worked from home which turned out to be a mistake. Grandpa and Uncle Tommy came on Wednesday night to help us remodel our bathroom. On Friday, they worked on the plumbing so they turned the water off most of the day. I had to time our toilet usage very carefully. We were lucky to go over to Yee Po’s house and use their bathroom. In the afternoon, Uncle Chubber came over to play with Natalie while I worked. He ended up bringing her over to his house and they baked sugar cookies and molded them with Hello Kitty cookie cutters. Not long after, she got bored and asked him to bring her back. It’s nice to live so close now!

On Saturday, the guys spent the whole day on the bathroom. In the morning, I went to get my braces off (yippee!) and when I got back, I had a headache and my jaws were sore. After lunch, I put Tyler down for a nap and then Nat and I went to Comcast to return our old cable box. Later that afternoon, a car load of us (me, Nat, Tyler, Uncle Willy, Uncle Chubber, Jeffrey and Khoi) took a mini road trip to Stanford to pick up Mimi cause she wanted to come visit. We stopped over at Sprinkles of course and the kids each picked out their own flavors – both chocolate something. I opted for Strawberry. That evening, Uncle Khang came over to make dinner for the guys and the kids and I had dinner at Yee Po’s.

On Sunday, Uncle Tommy and Grandpa had to leave early in the morning. The bathroom isn’t finished yet. Sigh. In the morning we went to the townhouse to return the keys to the landlord and then made a quick Costco run and picked up our new vanity from Lowe’s. After leaving Costco, David must’ve had other things on his mind, cause as we pulled out of the parking spot, Tyler is shouting “You forgot to buckle me up Daddy!” When we got home, Tyler fell asleep so Nat and I went to the mall to check out a medicine cabinet at Pottery Barn. That evening, we had some delicious Burmese food at Yee Po’s house.

Cute Tyler

“Tyler, what’s my name?”
“Mommy”

There’s a framed picture of Tyler and Natalie in his room of when they were 1 and 3 years old. He points at it and says in a cute high pitched voice “That’s so sweet!”

Special visitors

We had some special visitors when we got home today. 2 duckies were hanging out by the pool. I went outside to get a close-up picture of them, but they flew away. Maybe they will come back again.

Moving weekend

Po Po and Gong Gong flew up on Friday to help us move. Boy were they a BIG help! Po po helped pack up alot of our stuff and Gong Gong helped clean and organize all our stuff. On Saturday, we rented a huge U-Haul truck and packed EVERYTHING in! Big Uncle, Uncle Khang, Uncle Wen, Uncle Chubber, Uncle Willy, and Patrick came to help too. With everyone’s help, we were able to finish the move in one truck load!

Big Uncle came back from Asia just in time to help us move. He bought Tyler this cool Ferrari shirt from China. Tyler loved it.

On Sunday, after settling in our new home, Gong Gong cooked dinner and everyone came over.

It was also Jeffrey’s birthday. Willy and Natalie baked huge sugar cookies and decorated them that afternoon.

Making strawberries

Tyler and Natalie were making strawberry desserts this week. While washing the strawberries, Natalie asked, “What do the bugs say when you are washing them off the strawberries?”

This is boring. When can we eat already?!

Hot weekend

We had a heat wave in San Jose this weekend! Got almost to 100 degrees. We decided to use our new pool even though we haven’t moved yet. The kids had fun. Water was cold at first, but they got used to it. Now all we need is some patio furniture.

After we were done swimming, we went back to Yee Po’s to shower. Then we decided to have dinner at Buca di Beppo’s so we could hang out with McPatrick.

And we pretended it was McPatrick’s bday so we got some cool red cake.

While we were eating dinner, Tyler decided to take some pics of himself. (Yes, the camera was upside down)

Prospect High School

Willy’s high school had a fundraiser on Friday. For a $3 wristband, you had all access to the various jumpy houses and slides. It was like an outdoor pump it up. The kids had fun and got to load up on popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy.

Bloody nose

Tyler’s been having a few bloody noses lately. There was one day, his nose started to bleed and I told him to look in the mirror and it freaked him out a little. I know, good thinking mom. Overall, he’s been a good sport about getting his nose cleaned and drinking water.

Kaiya visits

Kaiya came to visit us earlier this week. Natalie and Tyler had fun playing her and jumping on the bed. Kaiya also enjoyed eating cereal with them!
