Uncle Tommy was in town for some Oracle training this week so he stayed over last night. We picked up Mimi from Stanford and had dinner at Miyake’s in Palo Alto. Afterwards, the group walked over to Red Mango to have some frozen yogurt while I made a mad dash to the Standford Shopping Center to pick up a dress.
I heard this Red Mango was opened by a winner of “Survivor”. The place was packed! What a gold mine. We all agreed that it wasn’t as good as Pinkberry, but it was pretty good. It’s just not as tart as Pinkberry.

Here are some more pictures from the rest of our week in LA. On Thursday, we went to Hermosa Beach, the kids loved it! It was a nice day too, not too sunny and hot. It was just right. And school already started for the local schools, so there weren’t that many people there. Then on Friday, we went to Chuck E Cheese’s for Spencer’s 2nd birthday party. Needless to say, the kids loved that too. There was a photo booth there that was really popular. One coin and it spits out a photo of you that looks like its pencil drawn. It was pretty cool. That evening, we headed over to David’s mom’s house to celebrate Uncle Tommy and Uncle Steven’s birthday and we ended up staying over for a slumber party with Grace and Meliya. The next day, our last day in LA, we went to the LA zoo again with Grace and Meliya. Wanted to take advantage of our annual pass and we were able to get them in for free. Here’s a video from the beach:

We’re spending Labor Day week in LA. It’s mid-week and the kids have had alot of activity. We got here last Saturday and headed over to David’s mom’s place to pray for the anniversary of his grandfather’s death. The kids had fun playing and there was so much food! We’ve also been shopping and the kids even went to the zoo. Tomorrow we’re heading the to beach!

Rosamaria (Tyler’s daycare provider) went on vacation for 2 weeks so Gong Gong came to stay with us and take care of Tyler. What a treat it was! Came home everyday not having to worry about dinner and got to eat yummy food! Plus he helped us move and clean which was really great, cause it was too much for me to handle! Tyler got to go to the park and McDonalds a few times too. Gong Gong was pretty bored here though. So we took him to the San Mateo County Fair and he got to go to Bay Meadows. At the fair, Natalie got her face painted for the first time. She once saw her friend’s face painted and thought it was cool so she wanted to do it too.

We went to the Aloha Festival in San Francisco on Saturday. The place was packed! When we got there, we went straight for the food. Lines were crazy long! Food & drinks were pricey too. A cup of Rainbow shaved ice = $5! The kids had a good time. We got some food and sat under a tree on the grass and ate, while listening to the Hawaiian music from the stage. Uncle Way, Auntie Marissa, Kaiya and her grandparents met us there, so we got to hang out. After we ate, we walked around the booths and looked at all the Hawaiian goods for sale and briefly watch some performances.
