The kids school has an annual fundraiser each year in the Fall called the Catwalk. It’s a walk-a-thon kids and parents participate in to raise money for the school. This year’s was on Saturday. Natalie completed all 50 laps and Tyler did 37 (which isn’t bad for a Kindergartener).

Taking a snowcone break

Today for some reason Tyler decided to give us massages out of the blue. When asked where he learned it from he said “I just know.”

We cleared out some of our vegetable garden this weekend. Natalie and Tyler had fun helping pick out the tomatos and cucumbers. We have A LOT of tomatos! I’ve been looking up recipes to use the tomatos with. So far we’ve made tomato soup and salsa.

Another funny conversation I overheard the kids today in the car. I didn’t catch the beginning of it, but this is what I heard:
Nat – “First you go to work. Then you get married. Then you have a baby. And then it grows up. And then you die. And then you to go to heaven.
Tyler – “Where’s heaven?”
Nat – “The sky”
Tyler – “Oh, you float up?
Nat – “Yeah.”
Tyler was drinking one of these today for the first time and said, “It’s soooo good. I almost cried because it was soooo good.”

We spent Labor Day weekend in LA (where else?!). Mostly just hanging out with family and we got to spend alot of time with Sienna!

Dim sum with Uncle Chubber & Gooey for their birthdays

Today was the first day of the new school year. Both Nat and Tyler are now going to the same school. This morning while eating breakfast, they made an agreement to meet “by the fence” so they can say hello to each other during school. Tyler was very excited to start Kindergarten today. He woke up quickly and asked if he could change his clothes by himself.

Tyler’s teacher is the same teacher Nat had for Kindergarten
