Uncle J and Aunty Tul went to a Thai temple today to pray and bring some offerings to the monks for Thai new year. We tagged along so we can experience the food. The place was packed but we got to try lots of delicious Thai food.

More HI Memories
We got back to San Francisco early this morning. We were all very tired. I’ve been blogging via my phone, so here are some more pics and video captured from our camera. Note: If you ever go to Hawaii, stay as long as possible!
When we were checking out of our hotel, Tyler says to me “Why can’t we stay here forever?”
Here’s the video of me telling the kids about Hawaii.
During the plane ride to Hawaii, Nat lost another tooth on the plane!

Last Hurrah
Ala Moana

This morning Nat worked on her postcards she got at the International Market. 5 lucky peeps are getting postcards!
Today we took a trolley to Hilo Hattie’s, a local souvenir shop. We picked up some treats for the family. After that we went to Ala Moana- a big fancy mall. David picked up some shirts from Local Motion. We had lunch at the food court and then took the trolley back.
Then we hit the pool again. When we were leaving we ran into these guys who were doing a ritual torch lighting thing by the pool.
Dinner: Zippy’s
The beach
Oh man, this kid has got to stop waking up so early! Another 6am wake up call from Tyler…
We spent the first part of the day at the beach. It started out sunny but then clouds started rolling in and we got drizzled on a little bit. But that didn’t stop the kids from having fun.
In the afternoon we walked around the strip. We found a farmers market and got some cinnamon rolls.
Dinner: Ramen!!
Paradise Pool
Still on California time the kids woke up at 6:30 this morning, even though they slept late last night. We started our morning with breakfast at a local coffee shop. Then we headed back to the hotel for some Easter activities.
Then we went to the flea market. It wasn’t that great. Nat picked up some jewelry.
In the afternoon we went to the pool. It was cloudy and even a little drizzle but that didn’t stop the kids from enjoying. Our hotel has 5 pools one of which is catered to kids -with slides and not deep. It’s called Paradise Pool.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a nice sunny day.
Hello Hawaii!
For spring break we surprised the kids with a trip to Hawaii. All along they thought they were going to PoPo and Gong Gong’s house. When we told them the news both of them went crazy!! I have this recorded on video but haven’t had time to upload it.
Yesterday morning Tyler woke up before 7am and comes to our room. I hear him say to David, “We’re going to Hawaii today!” Our flight felt long because we had a connection in LA but we finally arrived at 7:30pm local time which was 10:30 CA time. The kids were so tired but didn’t want to sleep so after we checked into our hotel we went to eat.
Loco Moco, a local favorite!
Egg Hunt
On Saturday the kids went to the Los Gatos Fun Bunny Egg Hunt. The website said “rain or shine” so even though it was raining, the kids wanted to go. They had fun playing in the rain and came back with their baskets full of treats!

Lots of candy everywhere!

After the egg hunt, they stopped at a book fair

Tyler got to do something he’s rarely allowed to do: splash in puddles

After they got home, the opened their eggs and lined them up all so they could look at all their candy.
