Playing House

We got a new BBQ yesterday and the kids quickly made use of the box. They each made their own house. The “neighborhood” was soon demolished when David had to mow the lawn.

Tyler’s First Tooth Loss

Today Tyler lost his first tooth. On Sunday after biting into a crunchy chicken nugget, the tooth became loose. Everyday since, he would wiggle it and it finally came out today while he was in school. He said he’s hoping to get $20 from the tooth fairy. No way.

Happy Mother’s Day

It doesn’t get better than this. The kids woke up early this morning and made a breakfast feast.

Tyler’s First Sleepover

Last night Tyler slept over Uncle Chubber’s house. It was the first time he’s gone to sleep at someone else’s house without us. He was so excited to go even though I tried to talk him out of it saying how sad I would be.

Hanging out. BFFs.

First Time Fishing

The kids went fishing for the first time today. David took them to a lake nearby our area this morning. It was a “kids free fishing” day. They caught one little trout but had a great time.

Uncle Ming Ming’s Wedding

Last weekend we drove down to LA for Uncle Ming Ming and Auntie Tiffany’s wedding. They had their ceremony and reception at The Castaway. The weather was great and it was a perfect day for an outdoor ceremony. Natalie was one of the flower girls. She was so excited to be able to be a flower girl in a wedding again.

Open House

On Wednesday the kids’ school had open house. We got to visit their classrooms and check out the work they’ve been doing.

In Nat’s class each child drew their brain and we had to guess who each brain belonged to in the class.

What’s the Date?

Yesterday Tyler was drawing a picture and he wanted to write the date on it. (Something David has been telling him to do whenever he draws a picture)

Tyler: What’s today’s date?
Me: April 24th
Tyler: No, the date. Like 4 dash something something dash something.
Me: Oh, 4 dash 24 dash 12
Tyler: Thanks

Tyler’s Note

Tyler brought home this note from school today. His handwriting is surprisingly very neat and so is the coloring.

A Food Day

Yesterday we went down to the San Jose made street fair in hopes of trying out some food trucks. Only when we got there only the farmers market and some local vendors were there. The food trucks weren’t coming out til 5pm.

So we decided to go to Sliders Burgers which we found on Yelp.

Then in the evening we went PPQ Dungenous Crab in San Francisco for Uncle Khang’s birthday dinner. It was a day with lots of good food!
