Puerto Vallarta – Day 3

I’m so tired!

We started our day kayaking in the bay for just under an hour, then hit the beach again and then hung out at the pool for a few hours. After, I made everyone take a short nap and then we went downtown to walk around and shop. It was very hot! Sadly, many shops were closed since it was Sunday.

We ordered some fun drinks at the pool

In downtown at the boardwalk

Shopping the flea market

Los Muertos Pier

For dinner, we walked over to the marina, about a half mile from our hotel. While we were eating, there was lightning and thunder and a light rain began to fall. We walked back to our hotel in the light rain, but it was nice and cool.

My dinner. Combination #3. Only about $11 USD. I shared it with Tyler

Favorite part of the day

Tyler – swimming and playing at the beach

Nat – shopping. She bought a few pairs of earrings

David – walking in the rain, lightning, and thunder

Me – kayaking in the bay

Puerto Vallarta – Day 2

We started our day early today with an escorted tour of Puerto Vallarta. We got to see and learn about old parts of PV as well as how the city became a popular tourist site. Long story short, an American bought a place out here many years ago, invited friends over time, expanded their home, and it later became a hotel.

While waiting for our tour shuttle, these two played ping pong

During our tour, we stopped at a few shops where locals made jewelry and shoes. We also walked the boardwalk, which was nice. Our tour guide was also named David.

For lunch, we ate at a restaurant in the hills, and then got to taste a variety of blue agave tequila!

After we got back to our hotel, we hit the beach and pool again.

And got some pool side drinks and snacks

For dinner, we walked to a nearby restaurant for pizza and tacos. The tacos were really good and only around $1 each.
