626 Night Market

I got suckered into taking the kids to the 626 Night Market last weekend with temptations of fun drinks and yummy snacks (even though we just ate dinner and I wasn’t hungry!) I’ve been warned of the crowds and lines, but I thought since it was Sunday, there would be less people. Boy I was I wrong. We started by parking (free) in the boonies and then walking (at least 1/2 a mile) to the entrance where there is a $3/pp entrance fee. At this point, I was already full of regret. Hoards of people heading toward the entrance with a view of the inside already packed full of people!

Our main target was the Squiddies booth. They sell these light bulbs filled with slushy drinks that light up. ($8) Gimmicky and genius at the same time. This line was ridiculously long. I waited in line while the kids roamed around and bought other drinks. Final time in this line: 45 minutes.

In the end, we ended up with about 10 different drinks (it was mostly about the cool containers the drinks came in.) We attempted to buy a potato swirl stick, but that line was far too crowded and it was getting late, so we skipped. Was it worth it? Probably not, but the kids had a fun time!
