Kaiya and Sienna slept over this past weekend. The kids had fun swimming together. Sienna started to jump off the diving board for the first time! On Saturday we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was pretty crowded, probably because the weather was so nice!

After spending 3 weeks in LA, the kids are finally going home. Nat is excited to go home, but Tyler wanted to stay. Maybe next year we’ll plan to have them stay longer.

Uncle Wen took the kids to the movies earlier in the week. They pretty much had the theater to themselves.

For lunch today, we went to Dumpling House in Arcadia. We’ve been here before many times, they have great dumplings! After lunch, Tyler started to complain about his face being itchy and his ears hurting. I told him not to itch it and to just drink water. On our way home, his eyes puffed up so much we had to stop at the drugstore to get Benadryl. He looked and felt very uncomfortable! We decided to take him to urgent care just in case. We aren’t sure what caused this reaction, but we suspect maybe it was peanut oil used in cooking some of the food. Luckily he’s ok.

It’s Tuesday evening, time to take out the trash for Wednesday. Gong Gong always cleans up the yard and sweeps on Mondays. Tyler did a good job helping him out today. At least it was a break from the iPad…

Today’s my birthday and since the kids are away, they made me these cards and mailed them to me. I got them today.

The kids are spending a couple weeks in LA at “grandparents camp” without David and I. Uncle Wen kicked off the fun by taking them to Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. They enjoyed touching all the sea life. Tyler said it’s the “best aquarium ever!”

Cousins Grace and Meliya came up to visit for the weekend. They got to go tour Cisco for free on Friday morning, then in the afternoon we went to the city to hang out at Fisherman’s Wharf. We took a boat ride around the bay and it was super foggy but the kids had fun. The captain even let them take turns steering the boat!

I do this thing with Tyler where I make a kissing sound and he will automatically give me a kiss. ALWAYS! So I decided to do a test and have someone else try. I asked Wileen to randomly do it one day when she’s near him and see if he will kiss her. She tried last night while they were playing and as soon as he heard it, he turned and was about to kiss her, but realized it was her and not me, so he stopped. He was a little embarrassed. 🙂

6/7/14 – the kids had a piano recital. This was Tyler’s first recital and Nat’s second. Tyler was pretty nervous going in, but he did ok.

Natalie turned double digits yesterday! Her BFF Morgan came from Arizona to spend a few days with us and celebrate their birthdays together. Morgan’s birthday is next week. Last night we had dinner at Red Robin Burgers and the girls got ice cream sundaes from the restaurant for their birthday.

Today we hosted a Hawaiian themed party and they had a few friends over to celebrate with them. Nat and Morgan have been so excited for this day for months! Both of them had a really great time and its been non-stop fun since she arrived yesterday. Nat will be very sad when she leaves tomorrow.
